Drum roll please...

We're having a baby!  I'm twelve weeks along so we just had our first ultrasound.  The baby was moving around a lot for the first 15 minutes before falling fast asleep.  All of the measurements were normal and the baby looks very healthy.

Here are some Sund-Dick baby FAQs:

1. When is the baby due?  Christmastime!
2. When will you find out if it is a boy or girl? Our only other ultrasound is at 20 weeks, so hopefully then.
3. Do you crazy nomads have a place to live?  Yes, we will move back into the Frankston house before the baby is born and we will stay there until we move back to the US.
4. What is the Australian healthcare system like?  Most people have healthcare through the state, but mine is provided by the school as part of my scholarship.  All three of us (me, Jeff, and the baby) are all covered under my insurance. The hospitals and doctors are very good.
5. What will the baby's citizenship be?  We are pretty sure it will have dual citizenship, but we will look into this more.
6. What if baby Sund-Dick wants to be president? Sorry baby, you will have to settle for secretary of state.
7. Won't a dingo eat your baby? No, we are planning to visit Uluru (Ayer's Rock) before the baby is born, so we should be in the clear.
8. When are you moving back to the US again? Probably between July and September 2013, after I finish my dissertation.
9. Are you excited?  YEAH!
