The last few weeks

Hi everyone! This is Jeff, and that's me cooking chili. Liz and I haven't posted in a while so I thought I should try my hand at this thing and let y'all know whats going on in Atlanta. The last few weeks have been really busy for us with work and school so this seemed like a good time to get everyone caught up. I have been working at the Woodfire Grill and have made it through the training process so I actually am getting tables to wait on so that's been keeping me occupied. Woodfire is a very cool restaurant that I think is going to teach me a lot and my co-workers all seem very nice as well. So while the restaurant has been keeping me occupied Liz has started class, so she has all kinds of learning to keep her occupied. The first week of classes went well and Liz has been enjoying all of the subjects. Last weekend we spent the afternoon at the 5 seasons pub and brewery watching our friend Gabe play accordion with the Atlanta accordion club. Three hours of non stop accordion music was actually a whole lot of fun. I'd be game to do it again. We also spent some time in a cool little part of town called "little five points" and got the grand tour from Liz's friend from the philosophy department Peter who showed us a good place for some Indian food and a fun bar and grill called The Vortex. Today Liz and I went hunting for a coffee table so we decided to check out Ikea which I can only describe as being a combination furniture store, warehouse and amusement park. It was a strange journey but we emerged victorious with coffee table in hand.

The biggest news we have is that we have adopted a cat from the humane society. The cats name is Harvey and he's already been a handful. when we first got him home he immediately hid under the bed and refused to come out. Liz and I figured Harvey's shyness was understandable and that he would come around. The following day he got so sick we were afraid he might die so we made an appointment with the vet at the humane society who put Harvey on I.V.s and antibiotics thinking he most likely had pneumonia. Five days later Harvey was released back to us with one leg shaved into a boot were they had to put the I.V.s and he seems to be recovering well. He's still a little bit of a scaredy cat but most of the time he is extremely melo and loves attention so he seems to be a good fit. Here he is keeping a close watch on the pool.

Well that's all I really have for you right now. We'll keep you posted on any further adventures.

Hey Harvey! Better tell your people we like to hear more about how your doing? They should post a picture of you in your "smart" collar, not every cool cat can carry that look off!
